Your role and responsibilities

Within the Norms & Certifications Program, Secure-IC is looking for a Functional Safety (FuSa) R&D Engineer in permanent contract in Rennes.

You will be responsible for the following tasks in particular:

  • Understand our products.
  • Analyze the functional safety requirements of ISO 26262 standard for system, hardware, and software architectures.
  • Ensure the integration of functional safety activities into the development project.
  • Identify functional safety requirements for the project based on customer and/or internal requirements.
  • Prepare project functional safety documentation according to ISO 26262 standard: security concepts and technical requirements, safety case, HARA, FMEDA, DFMEA, DFA, FTA, safety manual, etc.
  • Prepare security deliveries for all work products.
  • Assist in ISO 26262 process certification: tool classification.
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve adequate robustness at the system, hardware, and software architecture level, following the functional safety methodology.
  • Assist in research, special analysis requests.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Engineering or master’s degree or higher in cybersecurity, computer science, or embedded systems.
  • You have significant experience in the field of cybersecurity.
  • You demonstrate skills in applied cryptography, side-channel attacks, and embedded systems.
  • You have knowledge of electronics, particularly smart cards and HSMs.
  • You have expertise in security certification standards, especially ISO 26262.
  • You have knowledge of automotive cybersecurity.
  • Fluent in English.
  • You are known for your rigor, analysis and synthesis spirit, autonomy, and team working abilities.
