Functional Safety R&D Engineer
Based in : France (Rennes)
Permanent contract (CDI), based in Rennes.
Your role and responsibilities
Within the Norms & Certifications Program, Secure-IC is looking for a Functional Safety (FuSa) R&D Engineer in permanent contract in Rennes.
You will be responsible for the following tasks in particular:
- Understand our products.
- Analyze the functional safety requirements of ISO 26262 standard for system, hardware, and software architectures.
- Ensure the integration of functional safety activities into the development project.
- Identify functional safety requirements for the project based on customer and/or internal requirements.
- Prepare project functional safety documentation according to ISO 26262 standard: security concepts and technical requirements, safety case, HARA, FMEDA, DFMEA, DFA, FTA, safety manual, etc.
- Prepare security deliveries for all work products.
- Assist in ISO 26262 process certification: tool classification.
- Collaborate with other teams to achieve adequate robustness at the system, hardware, and software architecture level, following the functional safety methodology.
- Assist in research, special analysis requests.
Education, Experience & Skills
- Engineering or master’s degree or higher in cybersecurity, computer science, or embedded systems.
- You have significant experience in the field of cybersecurity.
- You demonstrate skills in applied cryptography, side-channel attacks, and embedded systems.
- You have knowledge of electronics, particularly smart cards and HSMs.
- You have expertise in security certification standards, especially ISO 26262.
- You have knowledge of automotive cybersecurity.
- Fluent in English.
- You are known for your rigor, analysis and synthesis spirit, autonomy, and team working abilities.
